Woodside Crematorium and Cemetery has undergone renovation works totalling more than £370,000.

This year’s six-figure investment at Woodside Cemetery and Crematorium has facilitated extensive renovations to the Martyr’s Chapel, which has undergone a full internal refurbishment.

The historic building has been upgraded to create a welcoming and comfortable funeral service venue. Now fully accessible, Martyrs Chapel has three private viewing rooms and a modern reception area plus a new heating system and repaired roof.

We’re delighted that the works have supported the long-term future of the local Scout group, which operates from the Bield Hall at Woodside. And within the 20-acre grounds our gardening team have been working hard to repair paths and cut back years of overgrown foliage.

“Woodside’s heritage goes back over 150 years, and our £370,000 investment will ensure it continues to serve the people of Renfrewshire for many years to come. We are proud of both the facilities we have on offer, and the dedicated staff who provide support and care to all that require our services. This investment is just one of many projects that we have undertaken on the site and reinforces our commitment to Paisley and the local Renfrewshire community.”
