Woodside Family Funeral Directors donates Easter Eggs to Women’s Aid.

Our Paisley parlour teamed up with Renfrewshire Women’s Aid to deliver over 80 Easter Eggs to the charity’s Children’s and Young People’s service.

We donated the chocolatey Easter treats in an effort to support the charity and the children who benefit from the essential care they offer.

Renfrewshire Women’s Aid provide a confidential service that offers vital information, support and temporary accommodation to women and their children who have experienced domestic abuse. Sadly this is an issue which has increased significantly due to lockdown restrictions.

The charity campaigns to raise awareness of this issue, as well as support all other domestic violence services throughout the Renfrewshire area.

Angela Sweenie, Children and Young People’s Support Worker said “Renfrewshire Women’s Aid would like to thank our community for their continued support throughout this difficult time. Woodside Family Funeral Directors have ensured that Women, Children and Young People will enjoy an eggcellent Easter holiday.”

Funeral arranger May Nisbet explains “At Woodside we want to support the community we serve. We chose Renfrewshire Women’s Aid as they do an amazing job helping local women and children in need. Hopefully our donation of chocolate eggs will help make this Easter holidays a wee bit more enjoyable for all the kids and families supported by the charity.
